These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to Ultius (the “Platform”), available at https://ultius.cc, and its Services. By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Definitions
- “User,” “you,” and “your” mean anyone using the Platform.
- “We,” “us,” and “our” mean the Platform operator.
- “Expert” means an independent educator, editor, or subject specialist.
- “Services” means the educational support available through the Platform.
- “Content” includes Platform text, graphics, files, communications, samples, guides, and feedback.
2. Our Services
We connect Users with Experts who provide educational assistance, including help with:
- Understanding academic topics
- Organizing ideas and developing structure
- Evaluating arguments and evidence
- Identifying credible sources
- Editing and reviewing existing work
- Providing samples, guides, feedback, and revision advice
Services are provided solely for educational, reference, and learning purposes.
3. Academic Integrity
You must use the Services in accordance with your institution’s academic integrity rules. Samples, guides, and other assistance must not be submitted or presented as your original work unless expressly permitted.
You may not use the Platform for plagiarism, cheating, impersonation, active test-taking, academic fraud, or any unlawful or unethical purpose. We may reject or cancel requests that violate these requirements.
4. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for providing accurate information, protecting your login details, and notifying us of unauthorized account activity.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide complete and accurate instructions
- Submit only content you have the right to share
- Review all assistance before using it
- Follow applicable laws and institutional policies
- Treat Experts and support staff respectfully
- Avoid interfering with the Platform’s security or operation
6. Independent Experts
Experts provide Services as independent contractors and are not our employees, partners, or agents. Ultius matches Users with Experts based on subject area, requirements, deadline, and availability.
All payments and communications must remain within approved Platform channels. Unauthorized direct arrangements with Experts may result in account termination.
7. Orders and Delivery
Prices and delivery estimates are based on the information provided when an order is confirmed. Incomplete instructions or later changes may affect the price, scope, or deadline.
Completed files may be delivered through your account, email, or another approved channel. We are not responsible for delays caused by inaccurate information, late instructions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
8. Communications
By providing your contact information, you agree to receive service-related communications by email, SMS, telephone, Live Chat, or WhatsApp. These may include quotes, payment confirmations, progress updates, delivery notices, and account alerts.
Marketing messages will be sent only where permitted. You may opt out of them at any time, although necessary service messages may continue. Message and data rates may apply.
9. Pricing and Payments
Prices are based on the Service type, academic level, complexity, scope, deadline, and Expert availability. Unless stated otherwise:
- Prices are shown in U.S. dollars
- The quoted total includes the applicable 12% Platform fee
- Payment is required before Services begin
- Additional charges require your approval
- Applicable taxes may be added where required
Payments must be made through authorized Platform methods.
10. Revisions, Cancellations, and Refunds
Revisions must relate to the original instructions. New requirements or additional work may require a separate payment.
Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances, order status, work completed, and Refund Policy. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
11. Intellectual Property
Platform Content belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by U.S. intellectual property laws. You may access it only for personal, lawful, and noncommercial purposes.
You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us and the assigned Expert permission to use it as necessary to provide the Services. After full payment, customized samples, guides, and feedback may be used for your personal educational purposes only.
12. Privacy and Third-Party Services
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy and in accordance with applicable U.S. laws.
The Platform may use third-party payment, messaging, analytics, or hosting providers. Their services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.
13. Disclaimers and Liability
The Platform and Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, specific grades, admission, or other academic outcomes.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses. Our total liability for a claim related to an order will not exceed the amount paid for that order.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the Platform, breach of these Terms, or violation of another person’s rights.
14. Suspension, Termination, and Updates
We may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, misuse, fraud, abusive conduct, academic dishonesty, or violation of these Terms.
We may revise these Terms when necessary. Updated Terms will be posted with a new revision date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law and Contact Information
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America. Any dispute will be handled by the appropriate courts, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
